I'm someone who loves making lists for herself, I find it. easier to complete everything I've got to do. I'll make grocery lists, clothing lists, recipe lists, etc. So recently I've made a list for losing weight. I took a look at my problematic areas and made it a goal to cut or add on healthier options. Right now I'm working on sweets. It's huge for me, I'm always eating sweets especially after my pregnancy. so here's my list:
* No more sweets, candy, soda, juice, cake, cookies, ice cream, chocolate, etc.
* No more fried food, fried meat, fried rice, fried dough, etc.
* More vegetable intake, frozen or fresh.
* More snacks throughout the day, HEALTHY SNACKS, veggie chips not salted, dried or fresh fruits, sunflower seeds.
* WATER WATER WATER Set up a timer for water intake.
* More salad, when hungry late at night, make some salad.
* No more temptation in the fridge,Pizza, cake, frozen foods, etc.
* Bake everything!
We have a roommate and he tends to eat a lot of unhealthy things, always buying frozen foods or ordering pizza and buying sodas, things like that. I find it hard sometimes to drink water or eat the salad that's in the fridge because I'm tempted to go for the sweeter or greasier option. It's something I have to seriously work on, will power. I grew up with a very healthy family my mom is a health nut and we were always on diets never had soda in the fridge, things like that. Moving up here with 2 guys who don't cook and don't have the healthiest lifestyle has made it very hard for me because I relapse. I find myself craving the foods I wasn't allowed to have growing up. Eating out especially, we never ate out growing up, so its new to me. Because I can't take our roommates bad food and throw it out, I have to figure out a way to not be able to see it. I've been thinking of him maybe getting a mini fridge for his room. That way no one eats his junk food and I don't have to be tempted when I walk into the kitchen. Its going to be a lot of work but I'm willing to put in the work because I know it's going to be worth it. I've purchased a fitness journal for myself where I can write down my progress and how much food I eat and the quality of food I eat. If I see I ate something that's not too healthy one day, Ill change it up and do something healthier to fill in the day I missed. I'm hoping to actually use it and gain some motivation from this too.
