These black beans are great to eat with absolutely anything! They're so scrumptious and seasoned perfectly.

I grew up eating beans all my life, and my mother seasoned them really well. She would put so many vegetables and let it cook for a while so that all the flavors melded together. The beans I'm going to be showing you don't have too many vegetables and don't have to be cooked down for too long. The flavors are already there!

“I really suggest you try these with some white rice or even by itself! ”

The things you will need are:

1 can of black beans or you can use the packaged kind, you'll have to soak those over night and they do take longer to cook.

Half an onion, chopped, depending on how much beans you want to make. (I usually go by eye)

Quarter of green and red bell peppers, chopped

1 clove of garlic, chopped or mashed

2 sticks of celery, chopped (optional)

A sprinkle of oregano

salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

When all the vegetables are chopped, put the onions, garlic, peppers and celery (optional) to cook in a pan with a teaspoon of oil, could be canola, or vegetable oil. Let the vegetables sweat. Once, they're glistening pour in the beans, and mix them well. Let the beans cook for about 5 minutes, and then sprinkle the oregano, salt and pepper. Pretty simple but really delicious.
